James Evans: Creative Sandwich ( US )
James Evans began his love of art at a young age, when he began re-creating cartoons from television and the Funny Pages.  James knew he had found his calling after discovering the classic works of Monet, Van Gogh, and Dali, as well as the contemporary works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Maurice Sendak, and Tim Burton. From then on any material James could get his hands on was fair game, whether he was painting on walls or creating sculpture from scraps of copper.

In 2001, James graduated from William Paterson University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.  In school he studied graphic design, drawing, painting and sculpture.  He began working in the field of graphic design soon afterwards as an art director with a large camera distribution company.  There his responsibilities included print, publication, packaging, and illustration.  In the summer of 2007, James was given the opportunity of a lifetime.  Together with another artist he painted a six story mural at Baruch Park in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. With the help of local and corporate volunteers, James was given the chance to help brighten the community, as well as bring awareness to the growing issue of global warming.  This particular issue is one that James feels very passionate towards, as he pulls much of his inspiration from nature.

James will continue to pull inspiration from the world around him and looks forward to future opportunities allowing him to explore and create.
